ClearKlens Bi-Spore is a rapid action, sporicidal, disinfectant designed specifically to meet the stringent criteria of pharmaceutical cleanroom disinfectants.
When independently tested ClearKlens Bi-Spore passes:
- EN 13704 (B.subtilis) with a contact time of 5 minutes,
- EN 13697 (C. albicans) in 15 minutes,
- EN 14476 (Polio-, Adeno-, Parvovirus in 1 minute.
Its two-part, single-dose pack comprises an activator and a base, ready for dilution, to generate chlorine dioxide in aqueous solution.
The working solution generated gives excellent antimicrobial and sporicidal activity and is compatible with all surfaces that will be encountered in the cleanroom environment. Neither the activator, base or working solution pose any risk to human health.
ClearKlens Bi-Spore is available in non-sterile and sterile formats, the latter being double bagged to eliminate environmental contamination.
The Benefits of Cleaning with Chlorine Dioxide
Chlorine dioxide has a broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores by causing lysis. Although chlorine dioxide attacks the cell walls of microorganisms, it will not attack human cells due to their different chemical structure. Neither chlorine dioxide nor its reduced form, chlorite, is classed as hazardous to human health in aqueous solutions, making it a safe option to use.
Chlorine dioxide dissolved in water is completely biodegradable and can be disposed of in normal foul drains.
